Secondary Years 7 - 12

Yarra Valley Grammar's secondary program spans Years 7 to 12 and is offered to overseas students under CRICOS course code 005473D. In the Middle School (Years 7–9), students study core subjects in Maths, English, Science, Art, Drama, Humanities, Health and Physical Education, Technology and Languages, choosing between Chinese (Mandarin) and French. Year 8 students undertake the ESTEAM Program across three streams — Coding, Robotics & Product Design; Food & Entrepreneurial Skills; and Engineering & Design — while Year 9 combines core studies with an extensive selection of electives alongside the LINK@9 Program, covering World Religions, Personal Pathways, Civics and Citizenship and Social Enterprises, and including a City Experience week in Melbourne. The Senior School spans Years 10 to 12. Year 10 functions as a pre-VCE year in which students study six subjects directly linked to VCE subjects offered at the School, and complete one week of work experience. Students then undertake the Victorian Certificate of Education across Years 11 and 12, selected from more than 40 different subject units, with the option to study Unit 1 and 2 subjects in Year 10 and complete Unit 3 and 4 in Year 11. Assessment follows VCE requirements through School-Assessed Coursework (SACs) and School-Assessed Tasks (SATs). The program is delivered face-to-face over approximately 312 weeks at the School's Kalinda Road campus in Ringwood.
