Study Abroad 1 (CRICOS: 105505B) includes Work Integrated Learning (WIL), meaning students complete a professional placement in an industry of their choice, gaining a minimum of 300 hours of international work experience. Study Abroad 2 (CRICOS: 105506A) does not include a WIL component. Both programs run for up to 52 weeks and have intakes in February, May, and August.
Undergraduate study areas include Business Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Event Management, Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality, Fashion and Global Brand Management, Information Technology, Sports Management, Hospitality Management, International Tourism, Accounting, and Property (Development, Investment and Valuation). Postgraduate study areas include Business Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Event Management, Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality, and Information Technology.
For Study Abroad 1, undergraduate and postgraduate students can choose from: 4 subjects + 1 WIL (Standard), 4 subjects + 2 WIL (Standard), 6 subjects + 1 WIL (Standard), or 8 subjects + 1 WIL (Accelerated). For Study Abroad 2, undergraduate and postgraduate students can choose from: 3 subjects (Standard), 4 subjects (Standard), 6 subjects (Standard), or 8 subjects (Accelerated).
3 ICMS subjects usually equate to 22.5 ECTS at the undergraduate level and 30 ECTS at the postgraduate level. 4 ICMS subjects at the undergraduate level usually equate to 30 ECTS. Credit transfer to your home institution is available depending on your home institution.
No, placements are not guaranteed. While ICMS provides support, placements are subject to availability and employer requirements. If a placement ends or does not proceed, students are required to secure an alternative placement to meet course requirements. Failure to complete required hours and assessments may result in a fail grade.
