Course Overview

About This Course

Notre Dame's Tertiary Pathway Program (TPP) is designed to prepare students for entry into many University undergraduate degree programs across Arts and Sciences, Counselling, Behavioural Science, Communications and Media, Politics and International Relations, Business, Education, Health Sciences, and Philosophy and Theology — though it does not guarantee entry into Nursing and Midwifery, and is not a pathway into Law, Medicine or Physiotherapy. The program is offered at the Fremantle, Sydney and Broome campuses, in both on-campus and online modes (online study is mainly for students in rural or remote areas or with special circumstances).

Standard Semester 1 and 2 offerings run for one semester full-time (two semesters part-time), comprising five courses: Learning for University, Academic Writing, Essential Mathematics, and Research Skills and Information Literacy, plus one elective chosen according to the student's intended undergraduate discipline. An intensive four-week Summer Term option is also offered at the Fremantle campus. Learning is assessed through written assignments, oral presentations, reflective activities, group projects, and quizzes and examinations.

The TPP is free for Australian and New Zealand citizens, permanent residents and holders of humanitarian visas, and is also open to international students seeking entry to an undergraduate program at Notre Dame.

Hear From the Students

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
