The Undergraduate Certificate in Business takes 0.5 years (one semester) to complete on a full-time basis, or an equivalent period part-time. The maximum time allowed to complete the course is 1 year.
Yes. Completion of the Undergraduate Certificate will guarantee direct entry into the second semester of study of the Avondale Diploma of Business or Bachelor of Business program, and graduates receive full credit for units completed in either program.
The Undergraduate Certificate in Business consists of four units and requires 24 credit points (CPs) for completion. All units have a 6 CP value. Students studying full time complete the units available in a given semester, while part-time students can select any four units from the semester lists based on when units are offered.
Yes, this course is available to international students who meet the Australian government requirements for a student visa (subclass 500) to reside in Australia for the duration of the course. International students on a student visa must study on campus in full-time mode and cannot enrol by distance mode. The course is not available online for international students who want to study from their home country.
Applicants who have completed secondary education in Australia or New Zealand need a selection rank of at least 45, which is calculated as the ATAR plus any applicable adjustment factors. Alternatively, applicants can qualify through a minimum of 24 points in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, New Zealand Year 13 NCEA Level 3 results with university entrance attainment, Avondale University-approved entrance exams, or the International Big Picture Learning Credential.
