Yes, the Undergraduate Certificate in University Preparation is described as a free tertiary pathway into university. Students may also be eligible for a Fee-Help loan, and Commonwealth Supported Place offers are available for some courses.
Yes. Depending on the units chosen, it is possible for students to receive full credit into most Avondale degrees including Teaching, Arts, Business, Ministry and Theology, and partial credit into Nursing. Students who successfully complete a minimum of three units receive guaranteed entry and credit into an Avondale undergraduate degree. It is recommended that students contact the Course Convenor for advice on selecting elective units for maximum credit.
Students can complete the Undergraduate Certificate in University Preparation in one semester studying full time (0.5 year). Part-time options are also available with an equivalent duration. The course consists of 4 units requiring 24 credit points for completion.
Yes, this course is available to international students. Students on a student visa must study on campus in full-time mode to meet student visa requirements and cannot enrol by distance mode. International students on a visa other than a student visa with no study limitations may choose to study full-time or part-time in any study mode. The course is also available online for international students who want to study from their home country.
No. Students can transfer to their planned degree after successful completion of 3 units, but will not graduate from the Undergraduate Certificate in University Preparation. Students completing all four units will graduate with the Undergraduate Certificate in University Preparation.
