The International Pathway College offers three categories of programs: Foundation Studies programs, which enable international students to gain direct entry to a University of Tasmania undergraduate degree; First Year Diplomas, which enable international students to directly enter the second year of their chosen undergraduate degree; and a Pre-Masters program, which enables international students to enter a postgraduate degree program at the Tasmanian School of Business & Economics.

Yes, the programs are nationally recognised and equip students with the content, English language and tertiary study skills needed to excel at higher education programs in Australia.
Yes, the Foundation Studies Program can help students who did not study science in high school. For example, Kim Nak Kyun hadn't studied science during high school and needed to work on his English as well, so he enrolled in the Foundation Studies Program. Not only did it hone his English, it got him up to speed with the year 12-equivalent science qualification he needed for the Bachelor of Pharmacy, and he went on to become a qualified pharmacist.
