Graduates may pursue careers as a Director of Photography, Special Effects Designer, Artistic Director, Games Designer, Radio Station Manager, Animation Designer, Producer (Film and Television), Screen Writer, Director, or Broadcast Technical Officer.
To enrol, students must have completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent, achieved IELTS 5.5 English language equivalence (if a non-native English speaker), be aged over 18, and have completed the CUA51020 Diploma of Screen and Media.
On completion of the CUA60620 Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media, students may pursue a BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management at WIN College, gain advanced standing in the Bachelor of Interactive Media at Wentworth Institute of Higher Education, or enrol in another related course at a university.
The course is delivered through blended learning, with 25% online and 75% face to face, over 52 weeks including breaks.
Through a mixture of theory and practical coursework, students will learn to design and develop creative applications, evaluate different creative business practices, evolve ideas using critical thinking and research, create and manage interactive media productions, direct camera and lighting crews, and identify and manage workplace hazards relevant to their area of practice.
