Common Questions
Yes, Victoria University offers credit (advanced standing) to recognise prior learning or work and life experience, which can reduce the number of units you need to complete. You can apply for credit during the course application process directly through VU's application portal, or alternatively apply for credit later during enrolment.
Yes, domestic students who have been offered a place in the Bachelor of Dermal Sciences can defer their start date for up to 12 months for reasons such as work, travel, or personal circumstances. You must apply for the deferral before enrolling by following the link in your acceptance email through the MyVU system.
At Victoria University, the award-winning VU Block Model® means you study one subject at a time over four-week 'blocks', rather than multiple subjects simultaneously. This provides five opportunities across the year to start your course, offering a more focused and learner-centred approach to study.
Yes, VU offers adjustment points that can be added to your ATAR selection rank. These can come from completing specified Year 12 subjects, VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) equity considerations, the Elite Sport & Performer Program (5 points for eligible Year 12 students), or Moondani Balluk support for Indigenous students (5 points). The maximum adjustment is 20 points towards any one course.
International students can apply directly to Victoria University or through an approved education agent. You will need to meet academic and English-language requirements, provide certified copies of academic transcripts, evidence of English proficiency, and a certified copy of your passport. Once accepted, you will need to accept your offer, arrange Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), receive a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE), and apply for an Australian student visa through the Department of Home Affairs.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
