Yes, the Enterprise Systems and Architectures major offers placements with industry partners, including a six-month internship. Internships are offered by partners such as DXC, which is the main supplier of technology for the Aerotropolis infrastructure. There is a limited number of internships available each year, so students will need to perform at an advanced level to secure one.
The program is available at Parramatta South, Penrith, Sydney City, and Campbelltown campuses. Next start dates are 20 July 2026, 01 March 2027, and 19 July 2027. Note that Sydney City Campus semesters commence in March, July and October, and not all majors and subjects are available on all campuses.
The School of Computer, Data and Mathematical Sciences is a certified CISCO and AWS Education Partner. Students gain access to the CISCO Networking Academy and AWS Academy. Teaching is delivered at The Smart and Distributed Computing (SDC) Lab, which integrates AWS curriculum into cloud computing subjects, preparing students for industry-recognised AWS certifications. Students also have access to Adobe Creative Cloud apps as Western Sydney University is an Adobe Creative Campus.
