The Bachelor of Property Development, Investment and Valuation (Honours) is fully accredited by the Australian Property Institute (API), which has reciprocity agreements with countries including Canada, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore, as well as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), which is recognised worldwide. This degree provides the academic base required for membership to both API and RICS, though applicants also need to have work experience and meet other membership criteria to become certified practising valuers (CPV).
In Year 1, you are introduced to the property industry with an overview of property principles, valuation techniques and property investment strategies, along with an introduction to construction and project management. Year 2 covers property development and investment, principles of valuation, applied law, property economics and leadership. Year 3 builds on Year 2 with in-depth study of valuation procedures, asset management, property investment markets and a research methods subject. Year 4 is industry-focused and culminates in three major capstone projects: an industry-focused property research thesis, an investment project, and an in-depth property development proposal.
The degree is connected with the Employer of Choice program, which provides exposure to more than 350 industry partners and employers, including GPT Group, Stockland, JLL, M3property, CBRE, Knight Frank, Charter Keck Cramer, Heron Todd White, Preston Rowe Paterson, Urbis, ISPT, Mirvac and Oliver Hume. Regular activities include guest speakers, industry-led site and property visits, and professional networking opportunities.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
