The course duration is 50 weeks, including 41 study weeks and 9 weeks of holidays.
Applicants must have an IELTS score of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5, or equivalent tests taken within 2 years. Students must also satisfactorily complete a Language Literacy Numeracy assessment or enrolment interview prior to acceptance.
Yes, the prerequisite unit CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card) should be presented by the student at the time of enrolment or at the maximum by Week 3 of Term 1.
Graduates of the Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining can pursue careers as a fibrous plasterer, wall and ceiling liner, drywaller, or site supervisor, and may even apply for a contractor licence.
The course is delivered entirely face to face, including classroom sessions, practical training, and supervised formative activities, with a study load of 20 hours per week. Students must be able to attend scheduled theory classes and classes conducted in a simulated environment face to face only.
