The estimated total cost for the Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining is $30,500, which comprises a Tuition Fee of $25,000 and a Non-Tuition Fee of $5,500. Additionally, students who need a PPE kit and choose to purchase it from the school can do so for $400.
The course has a duration of 56 weeks (including holiday breaks) with a volume of learning of 1,230 hours. It is delivered via face-to-face classroom learning and practical training in a fully equipped workshop at the Melbourne campus.
International students must meet one of the following English language requirements: a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent for direct entry; or an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent combined with an ELICOS course of up to 10 weeks; or an IELTS score of 5.0 or equivalent combined with an ELICOS course of up to 20 weeks; or an Oxford Placement Test score of 61 or higher. Results older than two years are not acceptable.
Students must have access to a laptop or computer with Windows 7 or higher, an active email address, and MS Office applications for self-study. For practical training, students require a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kit including safety shoes (steel toe), protective glasses, a safety vest (neon/glowing), protective gloves, earmuffs, a working uniform, a mask, and a hard hat. This kit can be purchased from the school for $400 or sourced from outside suppliers.
Successful completion of the Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining may enable students to apply for the CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building). In terms of employment, units in this qualification reflect the knowledge and skills of individuals with significant experience as a Plasterer or Wall and Ceiling Liner.
