Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining

The CPC31220 Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining is a trade qualification for residential and commercial construction work, covering the application and fixing of linings to non-structural walls and ceilings. Alongside core construction industry units in workplace safety, planning, measurement, communication and levelling, students build specialist skills in preparing surfaces, using lining tools and equipment, and installing and finishing wall and ceiling linings on both new builds and renovation projects, together with units on erecting and dismantling restricted-height scaffolding, working safely at height, and running effective workplace meetings. The trade equips students to deliver both the structural and finishing aspects of interior wall and ceiling work to residential and commercial building standards. The course is delivered at The Centre of Excellence's Melbourne and North Geelong campuses over 55 weeks including holidays, with new intakes accepted every month. On graduating, students are prepared to work as wall and ceiling liners within construction companies and subcontracting firms, or as independent tradespeople, contributing to both new residential and commercial builds and renovation projects.
