Common Questions
No. The Diploma of Visual Arts CUA51120 (Glasswork) is the first of its kind in Australia and was developed in association with Glaas Inc, a not-for-profit organisation which promotes the use of glass in art, architecture and construction. This association ensures support and opportunities for Melbourne Polytechnic students learning and working in designed glazing throughout Australia.
For local students, the government subsidised tuition fee is $11,450 and the non-subsidised fee is $16,450. The maximum annual amenities fee is $260, bringing the total payable to $11,710 (subsidised) or $16,710 (non-subsidised). Fees displayed are indicative only and subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding.
Entry requirements include previous art glass making experience, Australian Year 12 equivalency (or equivalent), and attendance at an interview and visit to Melbourne Polytechnic's Glass Studio. International students must also meet English language requirements: Academic IELTS 6.0 overall, Pearson PTE Academic 50 overall, or Melbourne Polytechnic recognised equivalency.
You will build a folio of work based on projects and class exercises and be assessed on completed projects and final folio submissions. The course is delivered through studio-based, on-campus learning with classes held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
