Common Questions
Yes, the Master of Architecture (25520) is accredited by the Architects Board of Western Australia through a process administered by the Architects Accreditation Council Australia. After completing the course, graduates are required to complete a minimum 3,300 hours (approximately 2 years) of professional experience, usually under the supervision of an architect, and pass the national Architecture Practice Examination (ACE) before being eligible to apply for registration as an architect in Australia.
Students can choose from several focus areas including Building Information Modelling, Landscape Design, Social Impact Design, and Urban Design. Alternatively, students can complete the course by coursework without a focus area, or pursue a combined coursework and dissertation pathway.
Students have access to the Design Hub (a dedicated working space tailored to the needs of design and architecture students with senior mentors), digital fabrication equipment such as 3D printers and laser cutters, studios, and computer labs. The course also features small class sizes with a low student-to-teacher ratio of 12:1.
Yes, students have the opportunity to engage in Work Integrated Learning and placements through practicum units. There are also overseas study opportunities — recent destinations have included Lisbon, Singapore, Bangkok, Athens, and Harbin — and the School maintains a large international exchange program that continues to grow.
Further postgraduate study options include the Master of Urban Design, Graduate Certificate in Architectural Conservation, and Building Information Modelling.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
